Keeping It Crystal

Your acrylic case is built to last — but a little care goes a long way in keeping it crystal clear and protecting your sealed collection for years to come. Here’s everything you need to know.

Cleaning Your Case

Use a microfibre cloth. This is the most important rule. Paper towels, tissues, and regular cloths can cause fine scratches on acrylic surfaces over time. A soft, dry microfibre cloth is your best friend.

For fingerprints and dust — a dry microfibre cloth is usually all you need. Wipe gently in straight lines rather than circular motions to avoid any micro-scratching.

For stubborn smudges — lightly dampen the microfibre cloth with water only, or use a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution (50% IPA, 50% water). Avoid ammonia-based cleaners like Windex or window spray — these can cloud acrylic permanently.

Never spray liquid directly onto the case. Always apply to the cloth first.

The Magnetic Closure

Your case uses strong neodymium magnets for a secure closure. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Keep the case away from other strong magnets, hard drives, and credit cards to avoid any interference
  • Don’t force the lid closed from an unusual angle — align it gently and let the magnets do the work
  • If magnets feel weaker over time, this is usually due to debris around the magnet area — clean gently with a dry cloth

UV Protection

Our cases provide UV resistance to protect your sealed products from fading. However, no acrylic case provides 100% UV blocking. For maximum colour preservation:

  • Keep your display away from direct sunlight where possible
  • Indirect or ambient lighting is ideal for display shelves
  • LED shelf lighting (rather than UV-heavy halogen) is a great pairing with your cases

Storage and Stacking

Our cases can stack safely. When stacking multiple cases:

  • Ensure the surface beneath is flat and stable
  • Stack a maximum of 4–6 cases high to avoid pressure on the lower cases

General Tips

  • Handle your cases by the sides rather than the top panel to minimise fingerprints on the most visible surface
  • If your area is very dusty, a quick wipe every few weeks keeps things looking pristine
  • Store in a cool, dry environment — extreme heat can cause slight warping in any acrylic product over time
